Commenting as lower engagement comparitively to other posts, but the bread and butter here still very, very useful

1.a. choice between futher postgrad quals and starting a business needs to be carefully considered. We're heavily in favour of the later now - perhaps to be expanded on in a later post.

Feel like CF is the least discussed and most important...maybe just my view from inside a big corp, but the time spent on disecting & talking about GAAP NI is 99% of the convo (technically the pseudo-GAAP "adjusted NI")

And most of the time, the answer is some timing issue under GAAP that is non-economic.

Autist Note Nitpick Question: Real estate investment doesn’t balance out w/$100k investment and $400k debt.

Shouldn’t this be a $500k asset w/$400k debt w/$100k cash reduction to balance?

Yeah that's fair should have probably used a different example. What we were trying to avoid was assuming anything above $100K is part of net worth will edit now

Changed it to $500,000 assets, $100,000 equity, $400,000 forms of debt
