The only thing the article lacked was the mention of the latinas in PR.

@bowtiedox, how do I make sure my firstborn is a son?

Keep your socks on during sex

On a serious note, I have no knowledge of ways to increase odds of sons, it could exist but I’m not sure. Otherwise every man on earth would do it.

Genuinely you need to look into female focussed websites, they apparently have lots of 'tricks' one can do. Doubt they work but no harm in trying.

This might seem weird but I believe this to be true.

Assuming your diet/lifestyle is already in check.

If you withhold for a while and then *only* have setts to conceive, it increases your odds for male baby.

Here are other things that increase the odds:

1. Little foreplay. Get straight to it

2. No female org*sm before you’re done

3. doggystyle

If you want a girl, do the opposite.

Thank me later.

I know some people are anti-soyscreen, but I use it.

Here are some I use:

https://mandanaturals.com/

https://www.headhuntersurf.com/

https://www.sunbum.com/collections/sunscreen-plp

Imo, manda is the best because it’s natural ingredients and won’t kill the reef. Head hunter is great too for protection, little trickier to find. Sun bum is more expensive but it’s widely available. You want to avoid stuff with oxybenzones and aluminum zincronium.

Blue Lizard is top notch as well. Mineral-based, protects the reefs and the bottle turns blue when there is harmful UV light present in the environment, so you know it's time to apply it!

Ox legitimately changed my life for the better. I've been following his advice since he started his substack and have made massive, life changing gains in my health and fitness. He is also great to work with, and I have seen firsthand his generosity among the Jungle. His advice and wisdom is second to none and we should applaud his success.

@bowtiedox my girlfriend (22) wants to get into lifting with me. I want to help her find a program, is a program that works for me as a man, going to be suboptimal for her? If so, what are some high level modifications we should make?

BowTiedOx's avatar

The way a man and women trains in the gym will be pretty much the exact same. The human body is the human body.

Some considerations is women can benefit from more glute/hip hinge work, and work shoulders a little more than chest.

My wife follows my exact program with an added glute exercise on leg day.

@bowtiedox- do you think anti aging supplements like NAD boosters and resveratrol should be used for someone in their early 30s?

Expand full comment
BowTiedOx's avatar

You can absolutely use them, they have health benefits outside of anti-aging.

Starting earlier is actually going to net a better result.

Add Berberine as well.

Could you share more detail on why it is really necessary to close all USA accounts? With the rule being at least half the year in PR, primary address, a business, etc. I don't understand why there would be a need to completely abandon USA and terminate all presence there.

I never thought I would see someone looking for some kale. It’s very easy to grow in a grow pale and a LED grow light. You would also need part a and b nutrients, I grow 4 plants for my wife that produce a large amount in a very small footprint.

As always, top quality content.

While PR would not be my preferred destination, it is no doubt a great place for anons looking at starting at a new place from a position of strength. Well, almost anywhere in LATAM would do the job for you US guys.

Quick question to Ox - Have you tried Tongkat ali (or know anyone that has), if you have what results were found? Listened to an Andrew Huberman episode on this and seemed great to try before TRT.

Tongkat Ali might be the best supplement you can take to naturally increase testosterone.

Solaray makes the best product on the market.

Do you know peeps who've had lackluster or bad experiences? Some report great things, and some say that it messes their balance up.

I’ve never actually heard a bad experience with the hundreds of people I know who have used it. Via the mechanism of action it isn’t going to mess up any balances

In your PPL program prioritizing hypertrophy, on conventional DL, are 3-1-2-1 tempos appropriate, or is conventional DL just "one of those lifts" where tempo just shouldn't be priority due to CNS taxation?

Expand full comment
BowTiedOx's avatar

You still want a tempo and control on the lift. We are lifting for strength per se, we are lifting for mechanical tension on the muscles involved.

A deadlift is going to be more or less it’s “own tempo” as it’s heavy enough that you aren’t going to be able to just sling the weight uncontrollably.

@bowtiedox Do you have any experience or advice regarding hair loss over the years from pushing so hard + persistent stress? I turned 31 this year and noticed my hair is thinning out + hairline is visibly receding. I signed up for keeps.com this month but am concerned about the side effects of taking finasteride & minoxidil long term

DS Labs, Revita shampoo. Recommended by More Plates More Dates youtube channel. I use it too.

BowTiedLiger's avatar

For topical minoxidil the system absorption is quite minimal. Not everyone responds to it but if you do, you essentially need to be taking it for life. You'll lose your gains if stop.

For finasteride people do take it long term for their prostate without any problems. The dose you will be taking for hair loss should be smaller than those taking it for prostate so the risk of adverse effects should be even less. Similar to minoxidil, not everyone will respond and you will need to take it for life.

You can also try adding ketoconazole shampoo to the above two products. That completes the "big three" of hair loss. Hair transplant is also an option Elon Musk style.

I received my shipment a couple of hours ago. After evaluating the pros and cons I've decided it's not worth it to be dependent on these for life. I'll keep the transplant option in mind for the future. Thank you

Those drugs work but like you said have side effects, some extremely detrimental to quality of life (I wouldn’t be happy if my d*ck didn’t work)

I know very little about hair loss and have never really looked too deep into it.

I’m in the camp of “when it’s starting to go away, shave it or wear hats if it bothers you”

How can we connect technology and investments into your fitness blogs? Trying to tie Ox and Bull together. I'd love to see a crossover post where one writes for the other. Ox invests and Bull finds the best fitness/health futures. I haven't seen anything other than VHCIX mentioned.
