BowTiedWookie here to share the most underfarmed Dapp I’ve been able to find on Blast: MEME.FUN. I’ve made 1,681 gold off 3.1 ETH invested (currently worth ~2.8 ETH). The best part is all you have to do is post memes. Below I have a brief write up of how you can quickly get up to speed on the dapp and become a “power user” with less than an ETH as well as some alpha on the NFT project they are launching in the next few days. How Meme.Fun Works

MEME.FUN is basically a bunch of different chat rooms where you post memes. In order to post a meme in a room you have to buy at least one key. The keys are on a bonding curve so you can buy and sell them whenever you like - instant liquidity. Every incremental buyer pays a bit more than the last person, and every incremental seller gets a little bit less than the person who sold before them.

By owning one key you can post one meme per room per 20 minutes. The more people that like your memes, the more points you get and the more gold you ultimately accrue. Currently there are 4 different ways you can earn points from Meme.fun:

Holding Keys - Gives you points based on $ value every 10 minutes

Posting Memes - Get points for likes (the bigger the room the more points you get for likes)

Playing the game - By holding two keys for a single room, you get to play a card game 2x daily. This is where the majority of your points should come from (reset at 2pm CST)

Holding a D1 share - There has been a small gold bonus for holding a meme.fun D1 share in previous seasons and it’s expected that trend continues throughout the next seasons as well.

Why Meme.Fun Is The Best Option For Small Players

Meme.fun is distributing gold every two weeks, which is ideal for small players. D1 and some of the other social fi apps are distributing 1x per month which allows whales and existing players to build up a points buffer that’s impossible to catch if you are brand new. Meme.fun resets the points system completely and redistributes gold every 8-10 days (last point reset was Sunday night). If you are willing to grind posting memes you can catch up very quickly if you post the right rooms.

Best Strategy For Gold Right Now

Currently the best strategy is to own at least 2 keys in the top rooms. You accrue points every 10 minutes based on the TVL of the keys you hold. The more expensive the keys the higher the multiplier is that you get on points (currently the highest is $bowtiedjungle with a 25x multiplier). Then you need to play the game 2x per day (resets at 2am / 2pm CST) to get points. If you have a few ETH to throw around this is the “lazy way” to quickly climb up the leaderboard (I’m 8th on the leaderboard as I’m typing this). The owners of keys in the top rooms are also more likely to get favorable jackpot treatment when the NFTs are launched.

If you can’t afford the top rooms do not lose hope! You just need to put in a bit more work.

If you are balling with a sub 1 ETH budget I would create a room on meme.fun for 0.06942 ETH (~$250). By doing this you get 5% of all trades back on your ticker which will allow you to recoup some money. So get 5-10 friends, you each make a room, you all buy each other's tickers (incredibly cheap since you all make them at the same time), and then post a shit load of memes and upvote each other. You’ll all probably spend around $600-$1,000 doing this (math changed a bit with ETH runup yesterday). It's pretty easy to break into the top 100 which will net you well over 180 gold based on the last distribution. If you are going to make a room it’s strongly advised that you choose a name that’s easily memeable and memorable so others are more likely to buy the ticker ($southpark, $starwars, $karen). There are a ton of different memes for these things which makes it easy for people to join and post even if they do not know you.

How To Play The Game

The game is super easy and takes around 20-30 seconds per room. Once you own 2 keys click on the “play button”. It will then open up a card game.

The card game looks like this. Spam click as fast as you can to get the pepes to appear.

There’s no strategy to this, just do it quickly. When you flip up 2 pepes that match you’ll get your points.

Then you just click go back. It’s completely random with no skill involved, the lowest you can make is 6969 and the highest is 9999. That number is then multiplied by the rooms multiplier to get you points (why bowtiedjungle and pacmoon can rocket you up the leaderboard).

The NFT Project

Meme.fun has announced that they will be launching an NFT project later this week which is designed to reward the top ticker creators and memers. It will be eligible for the jackpot gold and from what I’m hearing it will be eligible for some other perks too. I don’t know the exact mechanics but I imagine ticker creators and owners of the top rooms will get either free or heavily discounted NFTs vs the mint.

How To Make Sure You Don’t Get Rekt

The biggest drawback to meme.fun is that you have to lock ETH up and you can lose ~90% of it if the room tanks (sort of happened to me on the pacmoon room). Because of this it’s highly advised you pick rooms where no one person owns more than 3-5 keys. Take the $underground room for example. It’s the 4th most expensive room but the creator owns most of the keys. It’s easy for him to dump on everyone if he wants. Additionally, there aren’t many people who like your memes since there are only 12 people total in the room (not that many for the price point). For the price point a room like Pacmoon, Diggersdao, or Bowtiedjungle are likely a much safer investment and will likely net you a lot more likes.

Concluding Thoughts

There are definitely bigger Dapps out there with more gold, but for small players I have not found anything better. I am top 1,000 in D1 and I got more gold in 9 days of meme.fun than I did in a month of D1 (and I spent over $4k in D1 shares). My thesis for blast is that you want to be top 1% for a small Dapp rather than top 10% for something like D1. From a gold perspective that is 100% played out and you don’t need to be online at a specified time, which makes this much more relaxed for people with unpredictable schedules. Meme.fun has delegate wallets that you send ETH to in order to buy keys. You cannot use your primary wallet. This was the initial reason I joined, I was scared to connect my primary wallet to anything when blast first launched and the team quickly offered a solution for delegate wallets before blast itself.
