OK, man, I appreciate that, and I subscribed because you know way more about making money than I do. But this post isn't entirely about making money. You're giving life advice. And...other than staying out of debt, it's terrible advice, and suggests a pretty myopic view of life. Commitment, relationships, art, beauty...this is what gives money value. You drifted into this lane, don't be surprised you're getting called out.

What in the world are you talking about. It is a money and crypto website. If you want the other stuff go somewhere else or unsubscribe. Getting levered up at age 20 is beyond foolish if you give up your ability to move around and make more money. Usually just guys who made money in RE during the boom that think otherwise (those days are dead due to taxes and massive other issues that are on the come)

Banned for a month for wasting time. There is no way that anyone smart would lever up with massive debt in the 2020s with a kid and no money and say that is good advice.

Read the post. They went far beyond investing. I asked questions, held them to their own words, and didn't assume anything about their personal lives. Being "anon" is convenient for all of us, but...words are words. Again: I'm not against you. I want you to succeed. But if you're going to give "life" advice, and not merely crypto/investing advice, then don't be surprised if you get push back. There are many ways to live, and it's pure arrogance to assume yours is right. It may be the most profitable, but, c'mon, man, if you're going to go against most of human history and tell folks not to commit to a life partner and have kids when you're younger, then you're going to have to account for your ignorance. You're also clearly born into money, because most of the word does not see it like this. AGAIN. Don't think I'm against you. I want you to succeed. I'm just speaking up for those of us who crypto might truly benefit.

I agree with you anon, and I think the beauty of the comments section is to hear different perspectives.

I married in my mid-thirties but wish I'd done so earlier. My realization was that wife and kids have a powerful stabilizing influence which attract even greater wealth into one's life—wealth not necessarily measured in dollars.

For me money is a means to achieving a particular lifestyle, one hopefully surrounded with genuine loving relationships. For me that means God, family, and friends. Ymmv.

I subscribed to this blog knowing full well its one-dimensional nature, the jokes about escorts being the main tip-off, lol. It excels in that dimension. So when I read the advice on life-long commitments I just took it with a grain of salt. The principle worth noting is to avoid crushing debt. How you want to apply that advice is up to you. I would hope that readers have sufficient discernment not to blindly obey a cartoon bull's every word.

Really great counter arguments here. Sad that any disagreements results in being banned by BTB. Says a lot of his/their character.
