If the past 8 years have proved anything it is indeed that President is just a figurehead. I turned off the debate after 5 minutes. One elderly person was trying to make a poor argument that he is should be allowed to drive. The other elderly person is claiming he is the best driver ever when everyone just saw him driving on the sidewalk

Crises now can go about 1,000 times faster (than in the past) with about a million times more destruction.
Our international institutions such as the UN and EU offer no hope for dealing with such problems.
This combination of growing destructive power, the speed of crises, and the skills and institutions dealing with crises is disastrous.
I don’t see any way Gavin wins the election. He polls horribly in swing states who hate California leftists. His track record of destroying San Francisco then California opens him up to easy attacks. I would wager money he never becomes the party nominee.
