This reminds me of an old Wallstreet Playboys article probably 2013ish… I was late 20s. Dead broke. One income. But a “seeker” who spent all day reading about human nature and politics. The initial cognitive dissonance stung but the truth resonated to my core. Fast forward to today. I lol at my friends still obsessed with politics… Aaand I’m rich. 80% action 20% learning / reading is the way for the young 120+ IQ autists reading BTB right now for the first time. Take action, brick by brick, one day at a time and watch your entire life transform in a few years.
I remember your post a while ago BTB around San Francisco vs. NYC, one of the best posts I read on WSPs and I spit my drink a couple times reading it. In the end though, politics influences culture and culture eventually impacts all of us in terms of dating, going out, and meeting women.
Back when you wrote your post, NYC was still a great city. Then the tech mafia of San Fran flooded in and I saw the decline over the years. Great rooftop bars and nice spots went from having hot model tier girls and cool girls to have Trigglypuffs and San Fran women (who look like they just got out of bed). Eventually, it went from the Bloomberg hands off NYC to De Blasio's San Fran of the east.
The people in the city when going out became insufferable over the years.
I moved to Miami and I hear the same is happening here too now. It's like some nasty social cycle where each city lives on some kind of a borrowed time where things are great, life is fun, and you meet a lot of amazing people and women. Then at some point, normies and ESPECIALLY libs catch on and flood in.
Then the decline begins with the women getting uglier, the people you meet getting more politically correct, the nightlife attracting lower quality people, and soon for all we know Florida has vaccine mandates everywhere.
I wonder if the future for men like us is to just keep on moving throughout our lives. These people are locusts.
“As usual, if you want to win and you have nothing to your name it means you should be willing to do the lowest of the lowest quality work (basic customer service, tech issues with a website and more).”
If you’re in this position (which I was), my amateur recommendation would be finding a small company or start up with lots of growth potential to do this at and work from there. Much easier to make a name for yourself with the people who matter if you’re busting your ass and being socially intelligent (aka smiling and nodding) simply because you’ll likely have some level of access to them. When you do get promoted, you’ll also usually have much larger amounts of responsibilities and experience right off the bat that you wouldn’t get until being at a larger firm for a longer period of time because start ups are so resource constrained and need you to wear multiple hats at once immediately.
That’s been my experience and worked great for me anyway.
Great post, full of valuable insights for my early 20s self.
A question please: How to deal with family members that don't want you to succeed? I don't talk to my Mother or my Brother anymore because they weren't happy that I was winning. And. they have the balls to say that I was at fault. Like true NPCs they are projecting.
How to deal with family and the like when they come crawling back years later?
Everything you have said about people turning on you is happening to me as we speak. Its scary how accurate this post is. And it is happening right as I am hitting my first big win.
Join a DAO. How does this translate to the 5-10 streams of income? Are you writing different smart contracts that provide a service and growing the value of the DAO's token, or something different?
If you help build the community there’s always work to be done. Many of these can turn into an official position. Some DAOs have a treasury and will eventually pay for work in tokens.
Software developer here. Are there any bow-tied avatars who are also programmers that can speak on or point me in the right direction regarding their recommended methods of generating additional income?
The downward spiral in the USA for culture was highlighted by Drake’s popularity LOL True true
Tis' true.
You left out Cardi B as a "role model" for young girls. Huge L.
Another Golden Post.

The island awaits us.
Yep painful pill to swallow but once it's done you're off to the races! Like most things in life put the pain up front.
The top performer has no time because they are flooded with work.
So true. I've been painstakingly clawing back time due to the reputation I built from 21-25 in the office.
"Top performer", #1 earner for your age.... etc. Doesn't mean shit when you realize its just $20k extra per year or 1k / month post tax.
The transition to middle of the pack is quite hilarious tho
You learned it quick!

Can’t speak to your specific city list but I’ve found your conclusion to be accurate

If they weren’t there for you don’t be there for them. See the section above about filtering the people who have access to you.
Thanks!

Get used to lying down.
The downward spiral in the USA for culture was highlighted by Drake’s popularity - ser you have been reading my journal?
Indeed.
Doing okay, but want to diversify my income sources. What are some ideas for a coder/CTO co-founder to create more income streams?
Thanks for this!

how do you find them? Twitter?
I’m a little confused and new so is the E-commerce on the Defi substack or BTB substack
E-commerce is covered by BTB substack.
BTB substack covers high level crypto plays eg. BTC / ETH / LINK + portfolio review on a monthly basis.
Defi substack goes super deep into smaller cap tokens.
Both well worth the moneh. Just sign up and thank me when you reach degen island.
Great post even if the voice is a little annoying lol
Lol! The tone turns away the NGMIs it's on purpose
I didn’t even notice 🤨
Stupid question:
Where do I find the e-commerce substack and defi substack

Any idea on the e-commerce one!
And thank you for your welcome, can‘t wait to level up. Lol

What does thie quote below mean?
"Hint. If you have coding skills you better have 5-10 forms of income! It’s too easy out there for you"
Coding skills are now /have been a commodity?
Demand outstripping supply by many multiples

Work 2-3 jobs or start doing contract work. Scale once you’ve built a good reputation
